Shakespeare in the Park is one of Toronto’s summertime
gems. Now celebrating its 30th
anniversary, it runs until Sep. 2nd and is presented by Canadian
Stage (CanStage). This summer’s
offering, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, has been given high praise by the Globe
and Mail among others. Admission is $20
or pay what you can, free for kids 14 and under. There’s food and drink for sale, but you can
bring your own picnic spread. Shows do
tend to sell out, so it’s recommended to buy your tickets in advance at www.canadianstage.com
Shows start at dusk and take place in the High Park Amphitheatre, easily accessible by transit in Toronto's west end.
